What happens to the rubbish we clear?

We are committed to avoiding landfill wherever possible. Protecting the environment is one of our key objectives, and we are proud of the green credentials we have established across every aspect of our company.

For each job we complete, we fill out a Waste Transfer Note (WTN), which is required under government legislation. Part of our legal responsibility is to ensure we take all possible steps to reuse or recycle waste - a requirement that we take very seriously.

Around 95% of the junk we clear is recycled, and we're working hard to get even closer to 100%.

Many construction materials can be reused or recycled, for example bricks and breeze blocks, glass, insulation, plasterboard, wood, tiles and asphalt. Most of these materials are not bio-degradable; it makes sense to give them another useful life rather than dump them into over-used landfill sites.
